Wow. What an amazing experience!
The lovely Sara and Matt gave me the opportunity to work on their woodland wedding weekend. The weekend celebrations all took place at Woodland Tipis and Yurts in Little Dewchurch, Herefordshire. Firstly, Friday was an Indian celebration, full of vibrant colours and décor. For Saturday, the marquee was turned in to a beautiful woodland wedding. Furthermore, hidden deep in the woods was the ceremony – Very romantic! It was an amazing experience and I was grateful to be part of it.
In addition, the weather was amazing; staying dry and sunny both Friday and Saturday. It waited until Sunday, the clear-up and take down day, before tipping down of rain. For September, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Friday – Indian Celebration
The colours, the energy and the dancing. The atmosphere was magnificent the whole day. The bride, Sara, looked stunning and so did the groom, Matt. Every one of the guests got involved and really enjoyed the celebrations. It was amazing how much energy everyone had, even the slightly older guests.
Saturday – Woodland Wedding
After a morning of changing over the décor, the marquee was transferred to a woodland haven. The ceremony took place in the middle of the woods, right in the middle of nature and away from it all. The food was amazing – Scoff & Relish provided this. Additionally, John’s (the groom father) band played some great music for the start of the evening. It is amazing what can be achieved in a short space of time if everyone knows what is happening and what needs doing.

“As we were planning a lot of the wedding ourselves and the event was not at a standard wedding venue Mary’s knowledge and advice was critical in helping us make the right decisions and planning. Over the weekend of the event, Mary was vital in being the link between us and the suppliers and leaving us to be stress-free to enjoy our wedding. Without a doubt, Mary went above and beyond what we expected of her. She was invaluable and we wouldn’t be able to recommend her enough.”
